Welcome to The Woolly Studio, a little corner of the world dedicated to the quiet magic of handmade warmth. Here, every creation begins not with a machine, but with a single needle, a handful of soft, colorful wool, and a whole lot of heart. My name is Alex, and I am the hands and heart behind this studio. My journey with needle felting began not as a business plan, but as a personal sanctuary. In a fast-paced, digital world, I found myself yearning for a slower, more tactile connection to creativity. The first time I transformed a loose pile of wool into a small, solid shape with nothing but a barbed needle, I was hooked. There was something profoundly satisfying about this ancient craft—the rhythmic motion, the gradual emergence of form from fiber, the sheer alchemy of creating something lasting and lovable from simple, natural materials.

Every piece is 100% handmade by me in my studio, from the first sketch to the final delicate detail. I source high-quality, merino and carded wool for its vibrant colors and beautiful texture, ensuring each creation is not only adorable but also durable. The process is slow and intentional. One tiny poke at a time, layer by layer, personality is sculpted. A mischievous glint in a fox’s eye, the perky tilt of a bunny’s ear, the fluffy texture of a bird’s chest—these details are what infuse each piece with its unique spirit.

Alex sets the studio’s artistic standards and personally guides each commission from initial concept to the finished portrait, ensuring every piece captures a unique likeness.
